Stuff I Want to Say
Sep. 1st, 2007 09:45 pmThe Morrissey and Marr dancing vid is to die for! It explains Carl and Pete's love of the Smiths in 90 seconds. It also leads me to picturing Marr trying to dance with Brock like this and that just leads to laughter.
I don't think I ever said how much I like the Panic DVD. At first it really was just my drummer fetish coming out and I liked watching Spencer but I really do like watching the whole band and listening to Ryan sing with Brendon.
Drummer fetish leads to Bob/Spencer - more now always. I was reading a fic the other day with Spencer and Bob together in it and they were some fitting between the bands and Bob says "bros before ho's" and my first response was "Troh's before ho's!"
Joe's cribs is awesome. I like his house. I really like the bit about Pete as Princess Leia. Joe and dogs leave me weak man.
Since I was enjoying such a bandom day I have to mention how much I am missing the Used. I feel really disconneted from them in terms of fan~age. I still listen to them but it really feels like no one talks about them anymore. I accidently hit the slideshow feature in my bandom pics folder and I was hit with three pics in a row of Jepha. I love Jepha.
Required Reading: The Great American Novel by Arsenic.
It made me cry and want more. I had to stop reading in parts and go away to distance myself but it is worth it.

Blondie - Dreaming
In the book "Love is A Mix Tape" Rob Sheffield references this song with a bit that every girl knows that Debbie Harry is kidding with the 'dreaming is free' line.
Dustin Kensrue - Pistol
This song is Spencer and Bob to me. Spencer a la girl!verse I mean.
Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band - Because the Night
Do I need a reason to want to share this? This song works at any volume but I like it really loud.
Sorry that I seem to be dead, I'm not. I hope that pain, tooth and otherwise, goes quietly into the night.

The Beat - Elvis Costello
Apr. 27th, 2007 06:22 pmI was given "This Year's Model" at Christmas but I have only really gotten around to listening to it now - shut up May is only a few days away.
Anyway I knew Pump it Up and Radio Radio from previous dwellings on Elvis Costello but I had not realized what an awesome song 'The Beat' really is. Check it out - like it or tell me I'm crazy, that's not an either or situation.
The Beat
Also can someone tell me why I should watch Scarface. I need to by reminded why I wanted to watch it in the first place.

Apr. 24th, 2007 08:38 pmMy ipod died and I am really trying to readjust to a life prepod. I am going back to carrying cds and making mixes. I have had it for over two years and I have had hardware problems but this is just not uploading anything.
I am considering purchasing a new nano but with the amount of money I am spending on my car right now I'm not sure if I can really spring paying for one.
So there is my petty problem. I can't really get into ranting about work - its too much to dwell on.
I know that some of you have some pretty major things going on now and I want you to know that I am thinking of you and I hope that the sitautions and stuggles you are having come out in a good frame.

Happy Easter!
Apr. 8th, 2007 10:37 pmSo my family is big on food. You would think that with all the work that went into dinner tonight that we were feeding 60 not 6 people. This is a low number for our holiday meals as it is but it felt like it was the biggest meal ever. I also got really put out with my Dad not helping more then he did - I'm not really sure if that's fair though. I know that he was busy before dinner but it took over two hours to clean up and all he did was watch tv - grrh.
Then I go and watch this very well done vid on Pete and Carl and it made me sad. It has been a couple years now since getting interested in the band and there is a part of me that doesn't like hearing the music because it reminds me of what a loss it is that Pete and Carl are not writing together anymore. I really hate the fact that the songs and videos make me sad when the music once made me so happy. I really loved the music I just hate how much gossip whoring went on.
Anyway I hope that those who had to work made out ok and that everyone has had a good day and spent it with good people. Kiss Kiss.

The Used in Gasoline Magazine no 16
Apr. 7th, 2007 08:47 pmThis is from a free magazine that I picked up in a record store. The magazine is called Gasoline and it is the 16 issue with Bert McCracken on the cover. Typing this up made me realize how I cannot type worth a hill of beans.

Iggy Pop on RS
Apr. 5th, 2007 06:15 pmOver at the Rolling Stone website there is an interview with Iggy Pop that I found interesting. It is really nothing new but the way he discusses his life and where he is at is worth the time.
Mr. Pop
schuyler posted this the other day but if you missed it:

Yeah I'm sober but I have news of great joy - I have Bouncing Souls tickets!
I was checking out to see what was going on when I am going to be in Edmonton and I clicked a link for the Bouncing Souls and they are playing Halifax and I am now the happy owner of three tickets!
If you are in Halifax - or around it - The Bouncing Souls are playing The Attic on 4/19.
Tickets are at ticketpro.ca

MCR Concert Goodness
Feb. 2nd, 2007 11:04 amI was able to get tickets to the Portland ME show in May!
I am really happy about this cause it doesn't mess anything up with work and I can just take the weekend and go.
So I got to see FOB in Toronto, I'm seeing the Used in Montreal and now I am going to see MCR in Portland! On the east coast! It's kind of a joke that I live on the east coast but have been to more shows in Portland OR then in Portland ME.
I'm sure some of you have an idea of how happy I am but I really wasn't sure how I was going to pull off seeing MCR this year and look it I am!
Now i just have next Tuesday to worry about!

Jan. 21st, 2007 05:58 pmFOB did play the half time show for the Bears game but do you think that the TV station I was watching showed any of it?
No.
If you didn't know it was their song playing in the background you would never have known they played.
I feel very cheated and then the Saints go and get a runaway touchdown.
Cheated I tell you.
