Grand Canyon

So people who have been to the Grand Canyon is it a day hike/visit or should I really be looking into the 3 or 4 day hiking experience?



Also any ideas on what a road trip in the USA has to have to be awesome?

Thanks in advance, I'm obviously trying to put something together, looking at travelling in the month of September if that helps.
